July 1, 2013 Release of Web IEP, IFSP, IMS

On July 1, 2013, Phase I of the rewrite of Iowa IDEA will be released.  Phase I of the rewrite will include:

• Rewrite IMS.
• Rewrite current IDEA, including framework.
• Create development site and new databases.
• Add fields in IEP and IFSP that are in currently in IMS but not in applications or are needed for Count, Medicaid or reports.
• Write the IMS/IEP/IFSP utilities.
• Develop the Child Find.
• Research and conduct performance testing and implement load balancing.
• Develop the data dictionary.
• Facilitate the alpha testing and beta testing.
• Fix bugs.
• Facilitate the pilot testing.
• Move code to the live site.

Note:  IMS data entry persons will continue to enter their data into the old system in order for FoxPro to generate their reports.  In addition, the APR data will be pulled as it is currently being pulled.
