New! Teacher / Support Staff II level has been added

For Web Administrators and IMS Data Entry

The new ‘Teacher / Support Staff II’ level has been added to IMS and Web IDEA. This access level will gather the IDEA student list districts and buildings from both the IMS Staff Service Assignments and IMS Departments screens for the user.

To assign this level go into IMS and check the “Staff II” checkbox on the Staff Demographic screen. This change will require an overnight update to the IDEA database before becoming active. We feel we have already set your staff appropriately regarding this change.

Note: Only change the Access Level in IMS (not in IDEA)
Please set up the Default Permissions for this new level.

In summary, here are the items used for IDEA student list District and Building access for the three common levels:

Staff - without Staff II check box checked=Service Assignments ONLY
Staff - with Staff II check box checked=Service Assignments AND Departments
Building, District & Region – without Staff II checked = Departments ONLY
Building, District & Region – with Staff II checked = Service Assignments AND Departments
