The release date for Version 6 has been set for July 1, 2009. Here are the timelines for activities lead by the Central Processing Center:

| Conduct beta testing. | Monday, June 1 - Monday, June 15 |
| Train data entry personnel on how to enter new data into IMS (e.g. Race/Ethnicity). Note: This is the regularly scheduled meeting. | Tuesday, June 2 |
| Fix bugs and conduct post-beta testing. | Monday, June 15 - Monday, June 29 |
| Prepare and rollover code. | Tuesday, June 30 |
| Release Version 6. | Wednesday, July 1 |
