Web IEP Interim Release Changes

 

 

Kirby reviewed the Web IEP Interim Release Changes that are found on the IDEA site: see the link for the document on prior page.

·          Interim release of Web IEP on November 16, 2009

·          Explanations of changes

1.       Page 1 – Meeting Date, uses calendar button only

2.       IEP Overview – Associated Files Access, additional button

3.       Review Overview – Associated Files Access, for previous IEPs also

4.       Medicaid Parent Authorization, All Additional Forms – form included if Medicaid#

5.       Additional State Forms Printing – No Print Menu, this is not an all forms option

6.       Consent for Evaluation/Reevaluation – Restrictions & Requirements

7.       Additional Forms not available when meeting type is ‘Review’ are Consent for Eval/Reeval and EER

8.       Additional Form not available when meeting type is ‘Reevaluation’ is EER

9.       DRAFT Watermark Printing –will not happen with this release, the request has been withdrawn.

Question:  Will there be an announcement on IDEA when this release happens?

Answer:  Yes.  And additionally, there will be an email sent. 

 

Note:  Last week there was a problem on the Student List building selection dropdown list.  In some locations there were building numbers displaying instead of building names.  It was originally stated that this was an IMS Departments problem.  It actually is a coding problem and it is currently being worked on.  (It has since been determined that this is not a coding problem, but an IMS issue.  See answer to question below.)

 

Question: How is this fixed in IMS?

Answer:  Yes, by looking for a special character in the IMS Building Name or Short Name.  So far it has been determined that a comma (,) or a dash (-) in the building name will cause this issue.  Other characters may also cause this issue.

According to Amy, the new race/ethnicity data will be imported into IMS from Project EASIER closer to the end of the month.
